Age UK Bexley - Men in Sheds projectAge UK Bexley is a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. The Men in Sheds project has a wood workshop space for retired men to come together, make things and skill share. Based in Erith, the community group provides opportunities for peer support and socialising. Moreover, the project hosts outreach work and takes commissions from local organisations and schools." MencapWe are proud to be the local voice of learning disability in Bexley. We are a local charity supporting people with learning disabilities, and the people who care about them, within the Bexley Borough. We are affiliated to Royal Mencap Society but do not receive regular funding from them, we are independently run and focus our work and support entirely on people living locally. We run a range of services and groups to help us achieve our aims.

Advocacy for AllAdvocacy for All is totally independent from statutory organisations and all other service delivery and is free from conflict of interest. AfA’s culture supports Advocates to promote their independence with individuals, professionals and other stakeholders; Advocates will be free from influence and conflict of interest so that they can represent the person for whom they advocate.

Smerdon Day Centre (part of Eleanor Care) Offering a wide range of activities and support, Smerdon is a large day centre primarily for adults with learning disabilities. The specially trained team are dedicated and passionate about the day centre. Many of the them have worked at Smerdon for some years, with the current manager working there for over 30 years. This continuity of staff is what helps make Smerdon such a well-loved day centre.

Carlton Day Centre (part of Choices Support )
Based in Sidcup, we provide a wide range of opportunities for adults with autism and learning disabilities both at the centre itself and in the community. We help people to learn new skills and increase their confidence, through activity sessions at the centre or at community venues. We have minibuses to get to some of the venues or we use public transport.

Oxleas NHS (Community Mental Health Team)We provide a wide range of health and social care services in south east London, specialising in community health, mental health and learning disability services. We provide care for people of all ages and work closely with a variety of partners to ensure that our services are well-integrated and wide-ranging. We have a workforce of around 3,500 people including many highly skilled health and social care professionals. We have over 125 sites in a variety of locations across the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich and into Kent.

Inspire Day CentreInspire Community Trust is a user led organisation committed to promoting independent living. This is achieved by supporting disabled people and those who have sensory impairments to make informed choices which enables them to improve and enhance their lives. Our Independent Living Centre in Slade Green is a fully accessible building providing a base from which a wide range of services are delivered.
