Course description

Looking at current trends, discover how to create beautiful flower designs for your wedding. £50 material costs (£25x2 weeks) are included in the fee.

Entry requirements

No experience is needed, but anyone wanting to refresh their skills are very welcome. Please bring scissors.

What you will learn

Wiring and taping flowers. How to plan and what flowers to buy. Learn names and their seasonal availability. Looking at trends/current ideas. Creating an event on a budget.

There will be interactive teaching and learning activities shared with students by the tutor including demonstrations, use of technology, Word Clouds, glossary of terms, quizzes, reflective diaries, observation, discussions, direct questioning, self-assessment, working in pairs or groups, working together to develop and challenge what you have learnt, finding out what you can do well and what you could do to improve.

Additional information

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor may ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. This paperwork is a requirement of the College’s Quality Improvement Programme.
