Course description

Come and find out more about the industry standard City & Guilds, Level 2 Certificate or Year 2 Diploma to gain skills for work in the floristry industry. Please note you will need to book your Initial Assessment ahead of this class so you are ready to be interviewed and can enrol on the day.

An interest in working in the floristry industry.

A brief overview of the units to be delivered, expectations for work experience (Certificate only), portfolio work and homework. What you need to have in terms of equipment and what you need to bring to class each week.

There will be interactive teaching and learning activities shared with students by the tutor including demonstrations, use of technology, Word Clouds, glossary of terms, quizzes, reflective diaries, observation, discussions, direct questioning, self-assessment, working in pairs or groups, working together to develop and challenge what you have learnt, finding out what you can do well and what you could do to improve.

Additional information

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor may ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. This paperwork is a requirement of the College’s Quality Improvement Programme.
