Course description

Gain knowledge in this software package to help with work or studies. You will have the opportunity to create professional, quality presentations using a mix of text and graphics along with display techniques including transitions and animations.

What you will learn

Getting started with PowerPoint, introduction to slides, adding and formatting text, applying a theme, adding pictures, creating presenter notes, saving, editing and printing your presentation.

How you will learn on this course

The course will be taught using lectures, presentations and demonstrations. There will be plenty of practical hand-on work to develop your skills using this software package.

How you will be assessed on this course

Create, edit and print a presentation. Uses redefined templates and apply themes throughout your presentation. Format text using WordArt, different fonts and textboxes. Add pictures and images to your slides. Create speaker notes.

Qualification and exam information (only for courses leading to a qualification)

Not applicable.

What you will be expected to do outside your lesson time

Although no work will be expected outside of lessons, learners may wish to practice and access the software at home to familiarise themselves with the different functions.

Notebook and pen, USB stick.
