Learn to significantly reduce feelings of anxiousness, anger episodes and improve your self-esteem. Develop skills in how to be calm, resourceful and confident in times of conflict and imminent stress or where emotions escalate.

What you will learn
Powerful strategies to enable you to effectively identify, understand, use and manage emotions in positive ways. These strategies will help to relieve stress, communicate effectively, gain rapport and empathy with others, overcome both personal and outside challenges, and diffuse conflict within yourself and others. You will learn sound ways of feeling calm, resourceful and more able to detach from unpleasant feelings and internal conflict.

1. Tutor will explain/demonstrate concepts. 2. Students will be able to discuss, share personal experiences. 3. Learning will be self-experiential. 4. Students will have ample opportunity to ask questions and to contribute to discussions.
How you will be assessed on this course
Students will be able to:
1. Access a calm, quiet, still mindful meditation.
2. Be competent in using one technique to minimise resourceful emotional responses to imminent stress, anger or conflict with another person.
3. Be competent in using one technique to become calm, resourceful and in charge of yourself in everyday life situations.

With your emotions in check, your confidence improved and your self – value enhanced you can enrol on Certificated courses in psychology, counselling or other vocational learning.
Previous learners have gone on to heal conflict within relationships or have been motivated to seek promotion in their work or completely new work opportunities.
At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals.
All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency.
All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and ILP.
