Course description

Create your own range of jewellery, learning techniques using copper and brass and develop your skills to create finished pieces in precious metals and using semi precious stones.

Notebook/pen glasses if you need them.

What you will learn

For beginners learn the techniques needed to create your own jewellery practising on copper and brass to gain confidence and then onto silver, more advanced students to continue on projects to enhance you skills already acquired. Go own to improve your skills and techniques to create more.

How you will learn on this course

You will be taught as a group and individually, shown previous projects completed along with web based designs and materials.

How you will be assessed on this course

1. Go on to improve skills. 2. Make more creative pieces. 3. Create your own designs. 4. Produce finished pieces of jewellery.

Additional information

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency. All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and ILP.
