For people with some experience who enjoy singing solo and as part of a friendly, relaxed group. Technique and harmony are applied to a variety of songs to culminate in a performance at the end of the course. Fun, confidence boosting and a great way to meet others who enjoy singing.

For people with some experience, but who also enjoy singing solo and as part of a friendly, relaxed group. Technique and harmony are applied to a variety of songs to culminate in a performance at the end of the course. Fun, confidence boosting and a great way to meet others who enjoy singing. Working up and down techniques. Learning different types of songs. Learning skills to harmonize as a group.
How you will learn on this course
With the help or backing tracks and keyboard for scales. You will be in a class of no more than 12 people.
How you will be assessed on this course
Develop skills further and: 1. Perform warm up exercises. 2. Perform a variety of songs. 3. Sing acapella. 4. Sing with a backing track. 5. Perform individually. 6. Perform as part of a group. 7. Learn words from song sheets. 8. Develop harmonies. 9. Identify range on scale. 10. Use timing/counting to come into song.
Qualification and exam information (only for courses leading to a qualification)
What you will be expected to do outside your lesson time
None – although enthusiastic practice of songs and harmonics would be great.

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor may ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. This paperwork is a requirement of the College’s Quality Improvement Programme.
