Zumba is one of the most popular exercise crazes in recent years so join us and enjoy the many health benefits including working the whole body, boosting metabolism, increasing your endurance, boosting mood, developing co-ordination and improve your confidence.
A love of dance and a sense of enjoyment.
What you will learn
Approximately 10 dances with a novelty number towards the end of term, breakdown of steps, correct technique to prevent injury, use of props where appropriate (i.e. feather boa).
How you will learn on this course
Fun, effective, friendly class! Tutor previews steps and breaks them down where necessary. Students perform the dances and seek clarification if they need to. Tutor encourages students to ask questions and individual support is offered within the class environment.
How you will be assessed on this course
There will be interactive teaching and learning activities shared with students by the tutor including demonstrations, use of technology, Word Clouds, quizzes, reflective diaries, observation, discussions, direct questioning, self-assessment, working in pairs or groups, working together to develop and challenge what you have learnt, finding out what you can do well and what you could do to improve.
Qualification and exam information (only for courses leading to a qualification)
The course fee usually includes examination costs: registration with the exam board, certification and administration fees. If the fees are not included, the brochure will tell you this.

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency. All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and ILP.
