Course description

Pattern Cutting is the technical skill of creating paper patterns for clothing designs; interpreting a 2D idea into a 3D shape. If you have clothes making skills and would like to eventually create your own designs this is a good introduction to the basics of flat pattern cutting techniques.

Additional information - General

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete a Student Learning Record (SLR) and agree your personal learning goals. All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency. All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and SLR.
