Course description

A guided walk through Islington which became gentrified in the 1980s becoming this trendy area with individual shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It has well established theatres, leafy Georgian Squares and the Regent’s Canal nearby. Famous residents include Tony Blair, Lily Allen, George Orwell and some of the cast of East Enders.

There will be interactive teaching and learning activities shared with students by the tutor including demonstrations, use of technology, Word Clouds, glossary of terms, quizzes, reflective diaries, observation, discussions, direct questioning, self-assessment, working in pairs or groups, working together to develop and challenge what you have learnt, finding out what you can do well and what you could do to improve.
