Course description

Conversations are conducted purely in French. You will participate in lively discussions on everyday issues, such as culture, politics and national and international current affairs, using authentic materials from newspapers and the Internet. Suitable for those who have studied French for at least five years.

Entry requirements

A good level of spoken and written French. Sound knowledge of basic grammar. Suitable for students who have been learning French for at least five years or have an Advanced knowledge of French.

What you will learn

This course is conducted purely in French. You will participate in lively discussions on every day issues, such as culture, politics and national current affairs, using authentic materials from newspapers, magazines and the Internet.

How you will learn on this course

Mainly in French with English translation if necessary. No book is necessary as the tutor will provide handouts from various resources (songs, magazines, crosswords, posters, pictures, tapes, video etc.) Teaching will be through role-play, games, listening exercises and group work. Students will have the opportunity to practise new vocabulary using their imagination.

Use the subjunctive tense. 15. Recall and use more French grammar structures.
