Course description

Max. 2 children (5+) per adult. For families who want to spend quality time together developing their creative skills on four different projects using metal, wire, beads and paper. PLEASE NOTE: The adult whose enrolment details we have MUST be the adult who attends with the child(ren) each and every session of the course.

What you will learn

Four different projects using metal, wire, beads and paper. Learning how and when to use tools correctly and safely.

How you will learn on this course

Demonstrations, examples, one-to-one observation.

How you will be assessed on this course

1. You will gain knowledge of what tools to use and how to use them correctly. 2. Be able to use the wire wrapping technique to decorate. 3. You will be taught how wire works and how to manipulate it to form shapes. 4. Create paper beads. 5. Be able to make a beaded dragonfly. 6. Produce a memory bracelet using seed beads. 7. Form a shamballa bracelet using knotting technique.

Additional information

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency. All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and ILP.
