Course description

Max. 1 child (7+) per adult. Parents/carers and children work together to make pots using simple hand building pottery techniques and a potter's wheel as well as decorating and glazing. PLEASE NOTE: The adult whose enrolment details we have MUST be the adult who attends with the child(ren) each and every session of the course.

What you will learn

Basic hand building techniques including pinch pots and modelling.  Decorating and glazing techniques will be covered.

 

How you will learn on this course

There will be demonstrations and mini lectures on each aspect of the course. Discussion on a group and individual level will take place. Much of the teaching will be one to one.

Not applicable to this course.

 

What you will be expected to do outside your lesson time

None expected but some research suggested for individual personal projects.

An apron or old clothes are recommended.
