Max. 1 child (7+) per adult. Parents/carers and children work together to make pots and sculpture for the garden using simple hand building pottery techniques and a potter's wheel as well as decorating and glazing. PLEASE NOTE: The adult whose enrolment details we have MUST be the adult who attends with the child(ren) each and every session of the course.
What you will learn
Learn how to design, model, build and decorate your pot. Basic hand building techniques including pinch pots, slab pots and coil pots will be covered. You will notice improved concentration, confidence, self – esteem and creativity.
How you will learn on this course
There will be demonstrations and mini lectures on each aspect of the course. Discussion on a group and individual level will take place. Much of the teaching will be one to one.

What you will be expected to do outside your lesson time
None required but students will be encouraged to research projects using the internet especially You Tube etc. If students have special projects these can these can be incorporated into the course.

At the beginning of the course, you will have an induction to the College and the course. Your tutor will ask you to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and agree your personal learning goals. All documents are a requirement of the Funding Agency. All students on courses funded by the ESFA must complete a Learning Agreement and ILP.
