Are you looking for inspiration with flowers? Do you have a desire to design and create?  Learn to design your own wedding flowers, create designs around seasonal flowers and develop skills in our structured College certificated Floristry. 

There is plenty of scope to develop skills either for personal interest or for work, by learning to create stunning displays and arrangements in a relaxed and friendly place. Whether you are a complete beginner, have done some flower arranging or are more experienced and are looking for specialist knowledge to keep up to date with new trends, there is something for everyone.

This industry standard pathway is designed to give you the skills needed to become a retail florist. Covering 5 units, one of which requires a 40 hour work placement, you will learn all aspects of floristry including arrangements, hand-ties, funeral designs, function décor and display. Also covered are essential business, customer service and retail skills. Assessments are completed in the class with homework assignments and a portfolio of evidence. Students are required to provide all their own equipment and materials. The cost will vary according to the project, but will be approximately £10-£20 per session. £40 material costs are included in the fee.

Floristry: Level 2 Diploma: (Year 2): City & Guilds

Year 2 of the Diploma in Floristry Level 2 with City & Guilds will include both practical and theory. Students will gain experience of selecting, preparing and conditioning of materials, flower arranging, event floristry, window and in-store displays, function decorating and planted designs, learning Latin names of materials used. Planning and health and safety considerations will be covered with costing and dealing with clients and customers. All Students will have to record their achievements and complete classroom assessments. The cost will vary according to the project, but will be approximately £10-£20 per session. All students will need to have successfully completed the Year 1 Floristry: Level 2 Certificate - City & Guilds in order to undertake this course. Current students will not be required to take an IA
