If you are hoping to enter one of the health and social care professions, this will provide the underpinning knowledge and skills to progress to further study and ultimately to work in these or other related sectors. It forms part of the Access to Higher Education pathway and on completion may enable you to progress to an Access to Higher Education programme in health and social care, social work or nursing. To meet the guided learning hours you will need to attend every Wednesday evening and the occasional Saturday

We all know there is a huge demand for well-trained health and care professionals.

The College offers a range of courses from Level 1 Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care up to the Level 5 Diploma Leadership in Health and Social Care. 

There are also a range of 'awareness' courses which are suitable for people in many differnt areas of work. These help with an understanding of mental health, dementia and stroke. 

Pre-Employment Training

We also run Pre-employment training in association with local health employers - these two week courses provide a thorough introduction to the sector and on completion you will be offered a 'speed interview' with employers.
