Get out and about, challenge your memory, meet some new friends and socialise whilst building knowledge of new, interesting and different places.
Join us on this walk of Hampstead to visit the charming little streets, shops, cafes and boutiques taking us through some of its streets and a part of the Heath, one of the larger green spaces of London with its ponds and wildlife. Hear about the connections of this village with many interesting characters be they an artist, author, poet, architect or perhaps even a murderer. Meet at 1200 Hampstead Heath Railway Station, South Field Park Exit. Travel and food are not included in the cost of the course.
A guided walk through Islington which became gentrified in the 1980s becoming this trendy area with individual shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. It has well established theatres, leafy Georgian Squares and the Regent’s Canal nearby. Famous residents include Tony Blair, Lily Allen, George Orwell and some of the cast of East Enders.
