If you are struggling with your learning, please talk to your tutor in the first instance. If you prefer, you can contact the Learning Support Manager (Sarah Meredith) on 07732 681086 or sarah.meredith@lecb.ac.uk) to discuss your difficulties.
The Learning Support Department can provide you with advice, specialist equipment or support (if applicable). Our Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are able to provide eligible learners with support in class and help you with understanding the homework.
We endeavour to ensure that all of our learners are supported in terms of their technology needs whilst on-site or learning remotely.
If tutors are considering withdrawing learners due to lack of attendance or poor performance, please contact Sarah Meredith to discuss these concerns first.
Please note that we prioritise support for learners on accredited courses, but if you are on a non-accredited course and feel that you need some help, please contact Sarah so that other support options can be explored.
We can offer you:
The College is able to offer free support, from a Learner Support Assistant or Communication Support Worker, for students who have declared a disability for one course, irrespective of the length of course. If students wish to take more than one course and require support the College can supply a Learner Support Assistant from £11.50 per hour (higher costs apply where specialist skills are required, e.g. sign language). This cost will need to be paid by the student before the course starts, payment options are available.
If you have any additional needs including a learning disability, learning difficulty, a physical need or health need, please help us support your learning by contacting the Learner Support Manager 020 8298 2828 / 020 3045 5176 or email: enquiries@lecb.ac.uk
