m@ke: is an exciting new development of the Learning & Enterprise College Bexley. We offer supported learning students who are interested in developing their artistic and creative talents a platform to design, make, promote and sell their work. People with learning disabilities can often get marginalised in our society. We want to celebrate them as the gifted people they are and support them by giving them skills, wider aspirations and raise their status in the community by recognising them as artists and artisans.
The programme, the students and artwork products receive overwhelmingly positive feedback from all our clients, students and parents. m@ke embraces an ethical and sustainable ethos with all the artists hand printed work. m@ke embraces LECB college ethos of combining meaningful learning with social and business enterprise.
Feedback from m@ke Tutors The support and encouragement our son has got from m@ke has made himself, to progress like this is fantastic. It’s a big acheivement adding and selling, taking money, skills that are useful for his life after college.
Barry - Parent of a m@ke artist Since I have been with m@ke people have been buying my artwork. It makes me feel really good about myself and about my art. I talk to people about my work and I am much more confident it was hard work in the beginning but i have really enjoyed it.
