Botanical Drawing

Picture
Discover the pleasure of capturing the beauty of a plant, learn about their shapes and properties and practice pencil drawing, pastel coloring and watercolor techniques.
The course is a unique opportunity to hone your drawing skills and try out several techniques alongside you became aware of botanical drawing history and practice.
Drawing and focusing onto natural shapes is fun and sharpens your observation and concentration skills.

Drawing and Painting

Picture
You will learn a wide range of techniques, using various materials to produce drawings, sketches and paintings in a number of different styles. Over the 12-week course, you will use pencils, charcoal, ink, coloured pencils and watercolour paints to explore a variety of subject matter, including landscape, portrait, still-life and illustration. The course is designed for beginners but is also suitable for anyone who wishes to improve their drawing and watercolour techniques and experiment with a range of different media.

Learn to Draw

Picture
Learn various drawing techniques, using various different materials, to produce sketches and finished artworks in a number of different styles. Expand your horizons to discover one of the most basic but also one of the most enjoyable methods of making art. Use techniques such as pencil work, charcoal, pen and ink, mixed media, colour mixing and blending, to explore themes including portraits, still-life, landscapes, illustration and working to a brief. This course is suitable for beginners, and anyone who wishes to improve their drawing techniques.

Life Drawing

Picture
Explore the fundamentals of drawing from observation and classical to experimental ways of representing the human figure. Gathering with easels around the life model, you will have the opportunity to experience and learn from an authentic life drawing studio setup. You will be guided in mastering line, tone, volume, proportions and structure and use them to make realistic and expressive drawings that capture the beautiful complexity of the human body. While finding a focused place to develop your own practice, you will be invited to consider a variety of experiences from the history of art and the practice of contemporary artists.

Pen and Ink Drawing

Picture
Learn a range of techniques, traditional and experimental, using pen and ink. Add a few other basic materials and expand your horizons to discover one of the most enjoyable methods of making art. This course is suitable for beginners, and anyone who enjoys other aspects of drawing and painting.

Printmaking

Picture
Printmaking workshop for all levels enclosing a wide mix of printmaking techniques using water-based inks and a variety of materials. 
This course is great for beginners and those experienced alike, or just anyone creative wanting to have a go with printmaking techniques. It's a fun and inspiring hands-on course that support participants to experience a range of unconventional processes that found their origins into art history such us: Monotype, Collagraph, Lino-block cutting, Multi-block printing and Drypoint on acetate.

Watercolour

Picture
You will learn a range of watercolour techniques, both traditional and experimental, and use them to create unique artworks. This course covers techniques such as washes, wet-in-wet, colour mixing and blending, brushwork, line and wash, and composition, and explores a wide range of themes and subject matter, including landscape, portrait, still-life, illustration and expressionism. The course is designed for beginners but is also suitable for anyone who wishes to improve their watercolour techniques and gain confidence in painting.
