Independent Governor
About the Role:
Learning & Enterprise College Bexley is looking to recruit an Independent Governor to join the college board. The Governing Body's main role is to provide advice, support, and challenge the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective management and resources are in place. The Governing Board meets four times a year and is responsible for the college's strategic direction.
The role is voluntary but rewarding. The independent governor will join the board, which is chaired by the Cabinet Member for Education, along with senior managers from the London Borough of Bexley and a staff governor.
A college governor is drawn from the local community, has a genuine interest in education and training, and has the best interests of the college at heart. In this vital role, college governors are well-positioned to contribute positively to learners.
